Welcome to The Runnrs Club ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing our website, purchasing a membership, registering for an event, or participating in any activity organised by The Runnrs Club, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. About The Runnrs Club
The Runnrs Club is a South African recreational running community founded as a university initiative among friends. We organise outdoor running experiences, social fitness events, memberships, and community-based activities designed to promote health, wellness, and outdoor adventure.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By participating, you confirm that you are medically fit to take part in physical activities.
3. Event Registration
Registration for an event is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
Each registration is valid only for the individual named during booking and may not be transferred without prior written approval.
Event details, locations, and schedules may change due to weather, safety concerns, permits, or operational requirements.
4. Memberships
Memberships are billed according to the selected membership plan.
Benefits begin once payment has been successfully processed.
Membership benefits are available only while the membership remains active.
Members may upgrade or cancel their membership at any time unless otherwise stated.
5. Payments
Payments are processed securely through our approved payment providers.
By completing a purchase, you authorise us to charge the applicable amount for your booking or membership.
Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Unless otherwise specified for a particular event:
-
Membership fees are non-refundable.
-
Event registrations may be transferred or credited at our discretion.
-
Refunds are generally not available for missed events or late cancellations.
-
If an event is cancelled by The Runnrs Club, participants may receive a refund, credit, or transfer to another event.
7. Health and Safety
Participation is entirely voluntary.
You acknowledge that running and outdoor activities involve inherent risks including injury, illness, falls, adverse weather, wildlife encounters, and other unforeseen hazards.
You participate entirely at your own risk.
Participants should carry any required medication and notify organisers of any medical conditions that may affect participation.
8. Assumption of Risk
By participating in any event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with recreational running and outdoor activities.
The Runnrs Club shall not be liable for injuries, accidents, property loss, or damages except where required by applicable law.
